What I take on

I run a one-person practice and take on roughly four clients a year. That's a constraint, not a sales line — every engagement gets my full attention, and I turn down work I can't do well. The work falls into seven areas: agentic AI systems, search and retrieval, data engineering, e-commerce infrastructure, fulfillment, data collection, and mobile. Each one starts the same way: a short, fixed-fee discovery that ends in a written decision — including "don't hire me" when that's the honest answer.

How an engagement runs

  1. Discovery

One to two weeks, fixed fee. I audit what you have and you get a decision document: what's broken, what fixing it costs, and a clear go/no-go. If the right move is not building, the document says so.

  2. Build

Scoped from the discovery output, priced in a one-page proposal. You see working software every week, not status slides.

  3. Stabilization

I don't hand over and vanish. A defined window after launch covers production issues, monitoring, and getting your team to the point where they no longer need me.
